Overview

 

The purpose of the role will be to support and assist the Shift Supervisor In the production of silver from waste products. To be able to multi task and carry out every aspect of the process from Incineration through to cupellation

 

  • Work closely with your Supervisor to ensure each shift runs smoothly
  • Support the continual Improvement for the business
  • Help deliver new Ideas and strategies to support growth
  • Work closeley with the other site production teams
  • Help support the SHE Manager build a better H&S culture.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

  • To train and become competent In all aspects of production (Blast Furnace, Cupel, Rotary)
  • Assisting In all aspects of production as required by your Supervisor
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Ensuring the most effective and efficient running of all relevant plant
  • Liasise with Supervisor and other Managers when required
  • To be a site First Aider
  • Ensuring environmental and permit standards are adhered to at all times
  • Report accidents & near misses
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are adhered to and correct RPE/PPE Is worn at all times
  • Be willing to be a H&S representative & site champion

Qualifications

  • Previous foundry experiencee advantageous
  • Some knowledge / experiencee of working with molten metal
  • Health, & Safety conscious and be willing to champion H&S on the shop floor
  • FLT Certificate advantageous
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • The ability to ‘think on your feet’ and use of initiative
  • A “can do” attitude
  • Able to work In a fast paced production led environment
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Willingnesss to train on multiple pieces of plant
