The integration of the two companies adds refining capabilities to the StoneX Global Metals business and creates opportunities for us to offer multiple products across the market.

Business Segment Overview:

Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.  

Position Purpose:

To support the efficient operation of the Goods in and Goods Out functions at StoneX Metals by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of materials and products. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production requirements, and ensuring all customer deliveries and supplier receipts are processed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.

The postholder will contribute to maintaining a safe, organised and productive working environment whilst supporting operational objectives and customer requirements.

Primary duties include: 

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory is stored correctly and safely.
• Carry out cycle counts and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and report findings to management.
• Record stock movements accurately using company systems.
• Support periodic stock takes and inventory audits.

Goods In

• Receive and inspect incoming goods, materials and deliveries.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Identify and report any damaged, missing or incorrect items.
• Ensure materials are appropriately labelled and stored in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of all goods received.

Goods Out

• Prepare customer orders and shipments in accordance with company requirements.
• Ensure products are packaged, labelled and dispatched correctly.
• Verify quantities and documentation before dispatch.
• Liaise with production and logistics teams to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and shipping documentation.
• Load and unload vehicles safely using the appropriate equipment and procedures.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Comply with all StoneX Metals Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a safe, tidy and organised work area.
• Report accidents, hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and safe working practices across the site.

Operational Support

• Support colleagues and other departments as required to achieve operational targets.
• Undertake training to develop skills across multiple operational areas.
• Assist with maintaining housekeeping standards throughout the plant and yard areas.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions and performance reviews.

Flexibility and Plant Support

As StoneX Metals operates within a manufacturing environment, workload levels may vary.

During quieter operational periods, the postholder will be required to support other departments and undertake reasonable duties across the plant as directed by management. This may include assisting with housekeeping activities, material movements, production support tasks, general operational duties, and other work necessary to support the efficient running of the business.
